The Barcelona Observatory is an initiative whose aim and purpose is to provide up to date information on the most relevant aspects of the city of Barcelona from a comparative perspective. It offers references that can be used as a base for decision making by those economic agents who are interesting in setting up businesses or doing business in Barcelona.
The Observatory allows a periodical comparison of the position of Barcelona with respect to other cities of the world for each of the areas analysed: business, knowledge, tourism, culture and quality of life, prices and costs, and labour market and training. It also checks the pulse of the city through a systematicmonitoring ofcertain aspects of its current situation.
